There are two ways to participate: Make your purchase in person at a participating Lowe’s or Home Depot retail location or have your contractor purchase a qualifying unit from a participating distributor.

Present coupon code at retailer while making your purchase.
If your contractor is making the purchase, have them purchase a qualifying unit from a participating distributor to receive a $1,000 rebate as part of the installation.

Recommended Installation Guidelines:

Locations that are between 40º–90ºF year-round: These systems work more efficiently in warmer climates because they remove heat from the air. 

1,000 cubic feet of air space around the water heater.

An installation space with excess heat, such as a furnace room. Heat-pump water heaters won’t operate efficiently in a cold space. They tend to cool the spaces they are in.
