Con Edison Distributing Dry Ice In Harlem
Con Edison is distributing dry ice today at a location in Harlem for customers who have lost power due to the heat.
The company will also have a customer outreach van at the location. Representatives will be available to answer customers’ questions.

- Location: Dry ice and the support van will be at the parking lot for PS 241/STEM Institute of Manhattan on West 112th Street between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard.
- Timing: The dry ice and customer outreach van will be there until 9 p.m. or until supplies run out. Also, unless power is restored before that time.
Instructions for safe handling and disposal of dry ice are printed on the bag containing the ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Children and pets should be kept safely away from dry ice.
