The Small Business & Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Program is designed to help customers once they’ve identified the types of upgrades that they would like to make. Your selected Participating Contractor(s) can help make detailed recommendations based on their expertise/area of focus.
If you don’t know where to begin, subsidized energy studies are available through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
On average, we cover up to 70% of the cost of upgrades. The exact incentives for your project will be based on the equipment installed, building type, overall project cost, and whether you’re eligible for any bonus incentives that may be available at the time your application is submitted.
In many cases, the incentive is based on the projected energy savings that your upgrade will yield, requiring energy calculations. Your Participating Contractor will perform these calculations and help estimate your incentive amount.

We want to make things as simple and seamless as possible, so we will pay incentives directly to the Participating Contractor. The contractor will then pass the savings onto you in the form of a discount.
If you would like to receive the incentive directly, that arrangement can be accommodated.
