Con Edison Distributes Dry Ice in Long Island City on July 16, 2024

Con Edison will distribute dry ice today at the following location in Long Island City, Queens to customers who have lost power due to the heat wave.

The company will also have a mobile information center at the location from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Workers will be available to answer customers’ questions.

Long Island City, Queens:

  • The parking lot of Long Island City High School, located at 12th Street & Broadway. Distribution will be from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or until supplies run out.

Instructions for safe handling and disposal of dry ice are printed on the bag containing the ice. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. A reminder: children and pets should be kept safely away from dry ice.
