Con Edison Restores Service to Remaining Staten Island Customers
Con Edison has restored service to the remaining 2,000 Staten Island customers who were impacted by an outage that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.
A transmission disturbance is being investigated as the cause of the interruption of service to approximately 17,075 customers in the southeast and west section of Staten Island. About 15,000 of those customers had service restored at 2:30 p.m. and power was restored to the remaining customers by 3:30 p.m.
The areas affected by the outage were bounded by Forest Hill Road on the north, Raritan Bay on the south, Hylan Boulevard on the east and Arthur Kill waterway on the west.
