Restorations Completed For More Than 10,000 Customers Following Halloween Storm
Con Edison Reminds Customers to Report Outages & Be Safe
Con Edison crews have restored electric service to more than 10,000 customers in Westchester County and New York City affected by the overnight Halloween storm.
As of 1:30 p.m., fewer than 2,000 customers remain without power. Company crews are working to restore power to those customers by tonight.
The majority of outages occurred in Westchester County, where approximately 6,000 of the more than 7,600 customers affected have been restored.
More than 4,000 of the 4,200 Queens customers affected by the storm have been restored. Safety remains the top priority. Treat downed wires as if they are live and dangerous. Be careful of power lines that may be hidden under leaves, tree branches or other debris.
Customers can report outages and check service restoration status at www.conEd.com/reportoutage, or with our mobile app for iOS or Android devices, or by calling 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633). When calling, customers should report whether their neighbors also have lost power. Customers who report outages will receive updates with their estimated restoration times as they become available.
Con Edison is in contact with local and municipal officials, as well as emergency service agencies to keep them apprised of all restoration efforts.
