Con Edison is monitoring Hurricane Earl and assessing the storm’s potential for impact on the company’s energy-delivery systems. Con Edison’s emergency management personnel have been on conference calls with the National Weather Service, the NYC Office of Emergency Management, and the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, discussing the storm and planning issues. These discussions will continue as the storm advances into our area. Con Edison is prepared with emergency response plans to address storm damage to our energy delivery systems, restore service following power outages, and keep our customers safe and informed during a storm crisis.
